Starting Reception in 2026?

Come and visit our EYFS this autumn.

We are a good and inclusive school where pupils are happy and safe. We believe in our motto and always put the children first in what we do, from our strong pastoral care and SEND support, through to our well-sequenced curriculum (Ofsted, 2023)

Call the school office or book online https://forms.office.com/e/RPD3bSYQaT  to see our EYFS in action on one of the dates below:

21st October 2025 - 11-11:30am

19th November - 3:30-4:00pm

4th December 2-2:30pm

Starting reception year or transferring to junior school

The application window is now open for children living in Milton Keynes who are applying for:

  • A Reception Year place (for children born between 1 September 2021 and 31 August 2022),
  • Or transfer from Year 2 in an infant school to Year 3 in a junior school (for children born between 1 September 2018 and 31 August 2019).

When to apply

  • The Citizens Portal opens on 2 September 2025.
  • Closing Date: Apply by 15 January 2026
  • National Offer Day: 16 April 2026

National Offer day is when you will be notified of your child's school place that starts in September 2026, if you apply by the closing date.

Applications must be submitted online via the  Citizen Portal by midnight on 15 January 2026.

This is for Milton Keynes residents who pay council tax to Milton Keynes City Council.

If you pay council tax to another council, you will need to apply through them, even if your chosen schools are in Milton Keynes.

Need a paper form?
Request a paper application form by emailing the Access to Education team: primaryadmissions@milton-keynes.gov.uk.

  • The most secure way is to email your form back to primaryadmissions@milton-keynes.gov.uk.
  • If posting forms, send forms to Milton Keynes City Council by recorded delivery, to arrive by 5pm on 15 January 2026. The Access to Education team is not responsible for forms lost in the post and is unable to acknowledge receipt.
  • If your child is currently being educated outside of their normal age group you can only apply with a paper application.
